Brevard Democratic Executive Committee Has A New Chair
Effective as of Thursday, September 18, 2008 Wes McCarville now heads the DEC (Democratic Executive Committee). McCarville was selected to replace Amy Tidd. Tidd recently stepped down to concentrate her efforts on her campaign for Florida House District 30. Area Democrats thought that he was highly qualified to lead them. McCarville was the party’s former Vice Chair, and prior to that founding President of the Young Brevard Democrats. McCarville says, "I'm stepping up as chair to provide continuity for the Brevard Democratic Party and continue the building of a strong and vibrant democratic party here in Brevard."
McCarville also is running for State Representative District 29. McCarville lives in Viera with his wife, Lynn and 19 month old daughter Riley.
